Introduction

Aconitum napellus
The blue raspberry is a very attractive plant, but if you eat it is deadly, we are facing the most toxic plant in Europe. This is due to the presence of two extremely toxic substances, aconitin with cardiotoxic effects and pseudo aconitin with neurotoxic effects.
Have you asked yourself why in many meadows is the only plant that we find? Well, because the animals that feed on it know it, and do not come close to it.
The most toxic parts of the monk's-hood are the leaves and the root. In only one or two hours, ingestion of 1 mg can kill a child, and with an ingestion of between 5 and 8 mg an adult.
