De la Volta Street

You are in the centre of the municipality of Ullà. Here, where the Carrer Major joins the Plaça de l'Ajuntament, is the start of the Carrer de la Volta. The name of the street comes from the distinctive barrel vault over the start of it. On this road, you can also find the Casa del Carrer de la Volta; one of the village’s most interesting buildings. It has been restored, preserving the original structure and appearance. The main door has a round arch. On the lintel of one of the windows, appear the words 1702 Antoni Pons me fecit.
