Introduction
You are at the start of the beach of Pals. This beach is where the Costa Brava stops being wild for a few kilometres. Going a few metres to the right along the coastline you come to the Illa Roja Cove where you can see the great reddish rock that dominates the cove. From el Racó beach you can see the famous Medes Islands in the distance and if the weather is good, you can take a quick break for a dip. This beach is very flat and you do not have to go far to reach the water, so it is a good place to refresh yourself before continuing with the route.
