Introduction

You are in Llabià; a small village with 52 inhabitants according to the 2007 census, which is part of the municipality of Fontanilles. In front of you is the twelfth-century Romanesque Church of Sant Romà de Llabià. The lists of names of the diocese of Girona of the fourteenth century and later also regard it as a parish church. It comprises a nave and a semi-circular apse, of considerable size, and there is a very old carob tree just in front of it. The fruit of carob trees is mainly used for feeding farm animals but is also used for making the digestible coating of medications.
