Dolphin’s Pond

The Bassa del Dolfí is an artificial wetland. This space was restored in 1991 by the Sterna Nature Group that emerged with the morphological adjustment of lands used as dump. The pond is fed on the waters that emerge from the sewage treatment plant. With the Parc dels Estanys and the Ridaura, it constitutes the third leg of the wetland system with a certain degree of protection in Vall d'Aro that gives shelter to aquatic birds. If we look at it, Florida’s water turtles are easy to see, which are being eradicated to favor native turtles.
