Introduction
The town hall building was designed in 1903 by the architect Bonaventura Bassegoda i Amigó, but it would not be built until 1928-1930.
This historicist and eclectic building has three bodies, with the central one being the highest and of three floors with a porch on the ground floor. In the lateral bodies, the municipal school would have been separated by gender: the boys on one side and the girls on the other.
In the west body we can see a mosaic allegorical to knowledge, science and progress, values exalted during the post-war period, when they were realized.
