Introduction
In order to provide the municipality with drinking water, it would be brought from the mountains, channeled and made available to everyone in the center of the municipality. The water from this source has been flowing since July 1741 and very possibly came from the aqueduct of Sant Domènech, on the way to Font Picant.
Despite the contemporary renovations, the fountain is decorated with green and yellow rhombus tiles that recall its origins, as well as a stone pile, on which the water flowing from the lion's head falls.
