Old houses in the village

A whole series of houses began to be built around the church, quite possibly since the Middle Ages, drawing winding and steep streets that adapted to the topography of the land. While walking through these streets, we can discover modernist buildings, old carpentry shops, buildings that preserve the remains of the old cellars inside and half-timbered houses that adapt to this space.

Some of these examples can be seen on Carrer Anselm Clavé where we find half-timbered houses that currently show modernist and noucentist elements, as well as on Carrer de la Baixada de l’església, also with modernist and historicist architectural elements.
