Introduction
How pleasant it is to walk beneath this different type of vegetation. This is the only section of the entire route where we can enjoy this patch of cerrioid oak or Catalan oak (Quercus cerrioides), a hybrid between the Valencian oak (Quercus faginea), typical of dry areas in the south of the country, and the pubescent or downy oak (Quercus humilis), characteristic of humid mid-mountain areas.
The cool environment, with ivy, rogeta and butcher’s broom on the ground, as in the holm oak forest, makes this corner very different from the sunny pine forest we passed through just moments ago.
Next, turn right and uphill onto the track. On the return journey, you will descend straight down.
