Introduction
The 11th-century monastery of Sant Daniel, founded by Countess Ermessenda, has housed Benedictine nuns for over one thousand years. The Romanesque church and cloister are the main architectural features of the building. The monastery conserves a major collection of books and scrolls dating from the 11th century.
