Description

Meadows and ponds under the Serra Cavallera

We will begin the route at the Puigsac neighborhood, about 2 km from the town of Pardines, just next to the church of Santa Magdalena de Puigsac, and we will follow the road of the path of l'Orri Vell to the Camí del Pla. Then we will cross a small torrent and climb a path until we find the track that we had left when we crossed the torrent.
We will walk for a while between fields of dall and small woods. We will leave the track that we followed to our left and we will divert by the way of the Boix Fountain until arriving to Estany de Can Roca and visit the ice well of Pardines.
Once you have visited the ice well of Pardines, we will return to the track, and we will go back to the rising direction, after a couple tens of meters, we will take a path that goes to the right between hazels. If we had followed the track, on the left, we would have found the Boix fountain, a few meters away, ideal for quick refreshing, to loose our thirst. The path rises steeply between hazels and crates, until reaching a clearing meadow with good views. We will cross a "man's way", and we will follow Sinan's roads until we find the track where we will descend.
We will begin the descent, with a wide view of the Parc Natural of the Capçaleres del Ter and the Freser. In this section, with a lot of probability we can enjoy the company of some of the birds of prey that inhabit the Serra Cavallera.

We will continue the descent along the track of the Coll del Bac path until we find the way back and return to the starting point without any difficulty.
