The Punta d'en Pau
Punta d'en Pau is separated from the mainland by a narrow and shallow water channel, fitted between vertical walls. These seagulls are called “freus”, and in many cases, they are navigable with small boats which have little depth. Its layout coincides with a fracture zone in which the rocks are crushed and altered. The waves could have eroded them very easily and formed the “freu”. The inaccessibility of this rocky islet causes a noisy colony of gulls to be established there.
