Description

Climb to the retirement

This proposal is a linear itinerary in which the path is the same both for going to the destination and going back, there is always the option if you hike in a group to leave a vehicle at the starting point and one in Sant Grau.

The itinerary coincides partially with the routes 2, 3 and 5 proposed by the municipality of Tossa de Mar, within its district. What we will do is correspond to the number 4, classified in yellow by its distance (including the return) longer than the green ones.

We will start following the same path as of the GR 92, walking on the right side of the Tossa de Mar stream, well protected by the shade of its trees and with the option of approaching the pool of the Sa Riera park.

When we leave the park of Sa Riera, we will enter the foothills of Cadiretes’ massif, and to Sant Grau we will be in the middle of Mediterranean forests full of pine trees.

We will follow the GR 92 until slightly further up Mare de Déu de Gràcia, approximately halfway through the route to Sant Grau.

As we move forward, we will see different panoramic views of the surroundings of Tossa de Mar. We will find fountains, hermitages, and we will know some botanical curiosities of the massif besides visiting hidden corners like the cave of the thieves.

In summary, this is an itinerary that provides good views, comfortable and intimate paths on the slopes, and that allows us to see and know places, and other elements of these areas.

Tips

PRECAUCIONS
