Introduction
Modernism is a European trend that in Catalonia acquires its own personality, finding one of the main ideals in the desire to be modern. It appears in a period of splendor that implies a will to renovate and modernize, abandoning the historical and nostalgic romanticism of the past.
In the early 20th century Llavaneres was a village of few habitants and mainly agricultural, and, therefore, of few houses. The arrival of these families of the new industrial bourgeoisie and the construction of large houses following the fashion of Modernism contrasted with the environment, standing out in the middle of the urban landscape.
The street of Munt, where we are now, was and still is, the vital center of the village where there were stores and artisans who practiced their professions.
