Introduction
From the esplanade of the Museum we can see the Torre Gran, built by Antoni Serra i Feliu, an industrialist from Vilassar.
The name "Torre Gran" was given by the people of the village because of its size and its location on high ground.
The house approaches modernism from embellishing elements such as ceramics, glass, wood carvings and wrought iron, also accentuating the decorative value of bay windows, balconies and its complicated roofs.
Next to the tower is the house of the "masovers", a curious "art déco" building, with an outstanding tower with a steeply pitched roof and a large overhang. The property was sold to Mr. Fèlix Valls i Taberner in 1956, turning it into a hotel. Two years later the "Hotel del Parque" was inaugurated. During these years the teams of FC Barcelona and Espanyol were concentrated there.
Later on, they wanted to give it different uses and in 2007 it was tried to open again as a hotel, but it had to close a few years later due to the economic crisis. It is currently for sale.
