Introduction
It is believed that this grand domus from the Roman Republican era, characterized by its aristocratic features in both construction and decoration, was inhabited by an important individual of Italic origin who held political and administrative roles for the Roman Republic in the region. This residence, boasting seven rooms adorned with geometric mosaics of white and black tesserae set against red and black backgrounds, lies beneath a street to the south of the archaeological site. It was unearthed in 1999 during the urbanization of the area and dates back to the end of the 2nd century BCE and the beginning of the following century.
