Description
Built in the 16th century, it is explained that it was an ex-voto by the sailor Antoni Caixa in gratitude to the Mare de Déu dels Socors for having saved him from a shipwreck. The current chapel suffered a remodeling in the eighteenth century that gave it the current physiognomy. Located in what was known as the Cross field (camp de la creu), since it was the place where originally the cross was located, and in the middle of the royal road that went to Girona and the road that led to Lloret, it soon became an important religious center for the devotion that had the sailors and traders.
