Description
The monastery of Santa Maria d'Amer is a religious temple that was part of the ancient monastic Benedictine. Although linked to the bishopric of Girona, during the eleventh and twelfth centuries it remained independent.
Next to it, we have the gardens of the monastery, which are preserved in the western side of the church, constituting a heritage value and a historical testimony of the activity of the monastery during its splendor time.
