Description
The sanctuary of Sant Grau is located 15 km from Tossa, on the Cadiretes massif. It is accessed by the road that goes from Tossa to Sant Feliu de Guixols along the coast.
The exterior of the building is neo-Gothic.
Its history dates back to a popular legend that says that St. Grau d'Aurillac lived in the ninth century, and that in 1200, Queen Mary of Montpellier, mother of James I the Conqueror, managed to get some relics of the Saint, who came from Aurillac, and deposited them in the sanctuary.
