Introduction

The Salt de l’Euga was an old waterfall which flowed as part of the seasonal stream of en Planes. Now it is an exceptional viewpoint overlooking l’Estartit.

From here you can enjoy one of the most picturesque views of l’Estartit, with the Medes Islands in the background framed by the mountains on the left and les Maures to the right.

The waterfall’s name almost certainly comes from the shape the water makes as it drops, which resembles a horse’s tail.
