Ca l'Artés

Former cottage of Can Cot and now known as Ca l'Artés or “El Cortijo”. Mr. Artés rebuilt the house with Andalusian style motifs, to remember his land of origin, Almería. Reciprocating Almeria and Alhama de Almeria there are two streets with the names of “Street of Sobirans” and “Street of Arenys de Munt”.

Mr. Artés worked for the automobile auxiliary industry and was the inventor of the suction horn, among many other inventions. In Arenys he collaborated with the sponsorship of the Hockey Club in Arenys de Munt and paid for the electrification of the Sobirans neighborhood, also replacing the statue of Saint Martin that had been destroyed during a fire.
