Introduction

They are two narrow and elongated twin houses, with a ground  andground and first floor and a first floor, which were built in 1907 and are located on Carrerlle Sant Measure. They are currently privately owned. In the center of the door is a shield with the promoter's initials E.P. Enric Pi was a Barceloniana builder and was a partner toof the architect Juli Batllevel fromde Sabadell, with whom he collaborated and built some important and outstanding houses in the city of Barcelona itself. These two houses respond to a new urban-type housing model, highly influenced by modernism, in this case of a popular nature.

This new model transformed the interior of the house. Unlike the popular 19th century house that had the dining room-kitchen at the entrance, here the interior layout has a hall with a side room with a window to the street. Behind, the staircase that goes up to the first floor, and leading to the interior patio, the kitchenkitchen, and the dining room. The latrine used to be outside the courtyard and there was no bathtub or shower. This communecommon room overlooked a dead well. As for the bedrooms on the first floor, there was another communecommon one.

As conspicuous and clearly modernist constructive elements, we find the facçade with expressionist modernism features. In this sense, there is a balustrade that crowns the facçade with jambs, lintels, in the center of which are the promoter's initials EP. We also see some handrails, all made of mortar molds with floral decoration of camellias and stems (a technique that replaceds the stone sculpture present in Barcelona). Another modernist element are the balcony railings. These are ventruded opened-up and the windows are covered with wrought iron with floral designs.

These two houses do not have significant trees, at least with respect to the sideband where they have the facade. We do not know if inside the courtyards of the buildings they have any interesting examples of trees.
