Introduction

A beautiful recreation, promoted by the Tres Torres de Viladecans group, of what was once the main refuge for farmers. Dry-stone huts are closely linked to viticulture. Vineyards were the main mountain agricultural activity in Viladecans until the late 19th century.

Farmers worked from sunrise to sunset and needed a place to store small tools, protect food and drink from animals, shelter from rain or strong summer sun, rest or even spend the night if necessary.

Used until the 19th century, they were gradually abandoned with the arrival of phylloxera in the early 20th century. The plague and changes in agricultural activity led to the abandonment of the countryside and, consequently, of these huts.
