Introduction
We are located at 1967m. A great poster shows as the pass. |
To take our path we must walk through a barrier flanked by two yellow signs (the only signals on the way). From here we change the municipal term, leave Ribes de Freser and enter Vilallonga de Ter. The hill is part of the Mont-roig mountain range that separates the Freser valley to the west, from the Ter valley to the east. |
Look at the false black pine forests that we have left behind the track. They are forest replantations, and we can see this by noticing the equidistance between trees, as well as the lines they form, such as the fact that they are all of the same age (all equally thick). |
We leave the Collada de Dalt de Meianell in the north-northwest direction and we climb up, initially following the line that is to the left. |
