Introduction

Tichodroma muraria
The wallcreepers are a rocky species that lives in low numbers on the walls and carved entrances from the mountains of the Natural Park of Capçaleres del Ter and Freser.
We can observe it adhered to the rock. The contrasting color of its wings draws attention, with a black and red hue with white spots.
It feeds on molluscs, spiders and other arthropods that hunts on rocky walls, inaccessible to other predators.
When the summer ends, it goes down to live in cooler areas, and we can even find it on the cliffs of the coast.
