Introduction
Tichodroma muraria |
The wallcreepers are a rocky species that lives in low numbers on the walls and carved entrances from the mountains of the Natural Park of Capçaleres del Ter and Freser. |
We can observe it adhered to the rock. The contrasting color of its wings draws attention, with a black and red hue with white spots. |
It feeds on molluscs, spiders and other arthropods that hunts on rocky walls, inaccessible to other predators. |
When the summer ends, it goes down to live in cooler areas, and we can even find it on the cliffs of the coast. |
