Santa Cecília de Molló

Index card

Introduction

Now on the left you will see the bell tower. If you turn to the next street, you can go visit it if you have not already done so. Or maybe better after recovering forces with a good meal.
It is a remarkable example of the Pyrenean Romanesque. The parish of Molló or "Mollione" was first documented in 936. It belonged initially to the diocese of Girona and was of county control. As early as the 11th century, a new bell tower was constructed, the base of which was used to build the current church, finished once well-entered the 12th century.
Go there, go there.
