Introduction

If you look up where we are, a yellow-flowered plant, like a daisy, descends along the entire stream, very beautiful. It's Senecio del Cap (Senecio inaequides). It is found especially on the edges of tracks and riverbeds and in disturbed environments.

It turns out to be an invasive plant, and like all invasive species, it has a very negative impact on our ecosystem.

According to an article by expert Pere Aymerich, published in the 'Picot Negre' magazine of the PNCM in 2006, campaigns allow us to confirm that Senecio nuclei can be well eradicated if they are controlled when very small, "but if they already have dozens or hundreds of feet, elimination is very difficult." In this sense, Aymerich recommends in the text that "if you want to control this plant, it is essential to act from the moment the first specimens are detected."
