Introduction
The antennas on the peak of Roca Maura are what most catches the attention from the different points from which the peak can be seen. Below you is a spectacular view of the Baix Ter and l’Estartit, with the Medes islands in front of you in the middle of the sea and the mountains of Cap de Begur drawing your view to the south. Behind you and to the north-east is the Muntanya Gran, covered by an extensive carpet of pines and dotted with the old American base of Loran and the Torre Ponça. Even further north, you can see the bay of Roses, with Cap de Creus in the background, and the barrier of the Pyrenees extending to the west.
It is only to the west the Moratxa tower restricts the view.
