Introduction
These three chapels, which probably date from the sixteenth century, are dedicated to praying the rosary on route to the Hermitage of Santa Caterina.
When the route reaches the bare rock, there is a paved route which accompanies you for some distance towards the Hermitage of Santa Caterina. The question is whether it was only the stretch we see here that was paved, or whether all of the route to the hermitage was. The paved stretch was opened in the early eighteenth century and it seems French soldiers stationed in Torroella took part in its construction.
