Introduction

Himantoglossum robertianum

There are many and varied species of orchid in the natural park. In this case we are talking about the giant orchid
(photo), probably the earliest to bloom of the orchids found in the natural park and also one of the biggest (they can reach 50 cm in height)

This plant is typical of calcareous soils and flowers between the months of February and May.

The known pollinators of this species are bees and
bumblebees, and it distributes its seeds by anemochory (wind dispersal).

Remember you are in a Natural Park and it is very important to respect the surroundings.
