Introduction
In the 70s, around 400 hectares of eucalyptus were planted at the Gavarres. Eucalyptus trees are Australian fast-growing trees, which were introduced to be used to produce paper. In some cases, plantations are done by building terraces that involve large movements of land on slopes occupied by native forest formations. Now, this use is no longer given and many stands, after several carvings, remain abandoned.
