Introduction
From this point there are some beautiful views of Cap Norfeu. Cap Norfeu is situated on the Cap de Creus peninsula, forming a narrow, rocky peninsula that reaches into the Mediterranean and encloses the Golf of Roses to the north. The Cap de Norfeu is one of the most environmentally friendly areas of the Cap de Creus Natural Park and boasts its highest degree of protection.
Legend has it that Cap Norfeu owes its name to the Greek hero Orpheus, who caused the peninsula to appear with his music: his verses and tunes were so wonderful that the mountains came closer to the rock where the hero sat.
