Introduction
La Cala Jóncols is the last beach in Roses. This extensive beach of almost 200 m in length is not a beach of sand but of pebbles. Its abrupt and irregular sea bed makes it very appreciated among divers because of the great biological variety.
Among the fish that inhabit this marine floor, we would highlight the sharpsnout seabream, the gerreidae or tilapia, the grouper, the large red scorpion fish, the small red scorpion fish and the butterfly-blenny among others.
You can also see an extensive variety of algae such as sea lettuce, basque beret, pèl sauper (cystoseira mediterranea) and peacock's tail.
Notable in the cove is a fisherman's hut that formerly served to shelter to the fishermen in case of adverse meteorological conditions.
