Introduction

A building that was rebuilt in 1923 as part of the city-garden of the Montaña de Sant Elm Urbanisation (spa, fountains and gardens, modern chalets) managed by businessman Pere Rius i Taulet. Since the 15th Century the chapel had been a strategic defence fort for the Sant Feliu coast. It was knocked down by the French in the wars at the end of the 18th Century. Inside are beautiful allegorical paintings made in 1923. From the other lookout point you can see the coast from Palamós to Tossa de Mar which served as inspiration for the writer Ferran Agulló who baptised the coast with the name of Costa Brava.
