Genista Linifolia

Surrounded by heather, we find a few specimens of another shrub that is scarce in this area. Genista Linifolia.

It's a shrub-like retama, with thin leaves, similar to those of rosemary, very colourful and pretty when its yellow flowers come out from March to May.

Although it's very common in the Ardenya, it's protected (also in Las Gavarres) because it's a species that is rare in Catalonia. We also find it in siliceous land, in sunny places, very often at the edges or banks of the paths.

To our right, the hill with the antennas is the Pico Gros (321m).
