Introduction
Welcome to the p@leo_ruta® "Pau's world".
My name is Marius and I'm a palaeontologist. Palaeontology is the science that enables us to re-enact the history of life by studying fossils.
And you might well ask, what is a fossil? A fossil consists of the remains of an organism that lived in the past or the remains of its life activity.
I will be your guide on this route, which will take us back in time 12 million years to explain who Pau was, what the place where he lived was like, how we found him and how he is related to us.
For palaeontologists like me, our dream is to be able to identify new genera and species, and even more so if they are primates. In this case, I will tell you about different species of primates, some of which have only been found here.
