(fossils and sites) helps us to understand our own place in nature.
In Catalonia this heritage forms part of the Cultural Heritage of Catalonia and is protected by law. It is everyone's responsibility to preserve it, so if you find a fossil, don't move it from its place - call the CRIP (Palaeontology Interpretation and Research Centre) or the City Council. They will know what to do and how to extract the information the fossil contains in a scientific way.
