Introduction
Before you stands the parish church of Santa Maria dels Prats de Rei, a large 17th-century Baroque building. With a single nave and six side chapels, it is notable for its elegant façade: a doorway topped with a sculpture of the Virgin, a central rose window, and a bell tower that rises with an octagonal upper section.
Inside is preserved a jewel of Catalan Gothic art: the Virgin of the Rosary, a polychrome alabaster sculpture from the 14th century. The standing Virgin, holding the Child, displays a sweet and serene expression.
Despite the passage of time, the church has preserved its original Baroque essence and remains one of the most emblematic spaces in the town.
