Description
The Audio-Guided Route through the old town takes you into the historic heart of Prats de Rei — a Catalan town with more than 2,600 years of history — and invites you to explore its most emblematic corners with a calm and attentive gaze. At every turn, the audio guide unveils new layers of history: from the former School building, constructed in 1936 using stones from an old Romanesque church, to the remains of the Paleochristian necropolis behind the parish church; passing through a labyrinth of squares, old houses, and streets that evoke centuries of life and transformation.
Along the way, you will discover the uniqueness of places such as the Main Square, presided over by the 16th-century Town Hall; the Baroque church of Santa Maria; the old mill (La Farinera) beside the stream; and modernist and vernacular buildings like Cal Llobet Vell, as well as archaeological features, fountains, and traces of the Iberian wall.
It is an immersion into the memory of a town inhabited continuously for millennia — an ideal stroll for those who wish to combine heritage, history, and local charm in an accessible and captivating route.
