Introduction
In front of you is the building of the La Equitativa Cooperative, built in the late 19th century. It currently houses cultural and leisure spaces; on the first floor, the Josep Castellà Real Municipal Museum, where visitors can learn about the history of Prats de Rei and its surroundings.
On the ground floor, you will also find the giants Martí and Júnia, a pair created in the 1980s. The giant represents King Martin the Humane, while the giantess, Júnia, takes her name from a woman documented in ancient Roman inscriptions found in the town, one of the earliest known inhabitants of Prats.
They are popularly known as the old giants, since the newer giants, Joana and Hermengol, remain inside the Town Hall.
