Would you like to witness breathtaking views of one of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World? Explore Trinity Castle, perched on the Poncella point above the Roses lighthouse. Constructed in 1544 under Emperor Charles I's reign, this military fortress complements the Citadel. Shaped like a five-pointed star with robust angular corners for defence, it boasts two-meter thick walls. The castle has three terraces equipped with cannons, howitzers, and mortars at varying heights, defending the port and coast with a garrison of up to two hundred men. A remarkable example of coastal artillery fortresses, Trinity Castle's unique history can be explored through guided tours and family activities.
