Introduction
About one hundred metres further on, to the left, stands Cal Simon. Beside it runs the Marina rainwater drainage channel. The corredores are field drainage channels that collect rainwater and carry it to larger rieres or nearby lagoons and, from there, to the sea. Without this system, the waterlogged lands of les Marines would still exist.
Can Simó is a farmhouse still in full operation, located at the beginning of the Camí del Mar, formerly known as the Camí de les Filipines. It has a distinctive feature: an external masonry staircase provides access to the first floor, where the living quarters are located, while the ground floor is reserved for agricultural use.
