Introduction
Located alongside the Mustinyà gully is the well of the same name. This is an old municipal well built by the council of Torroella alongside the gully which provided it with water nearly all year round.
It was already operating in the seventeenth century, from which time large numbers of people settled in the mountains. This way, real colonisation of the mountains by the inhabitants of the towns and villages of the Montrgrí began.
Until then, King Felip III had been the owner of the mountains, and this is one of the main reasons why the mountains have remained so untouched.
