Introduction
Stone Pine forests are adapted to sandy soils and marine environments. It is the pine that produces the biggest and edible pine nuts that are used gastronomically in “picades”, cakes and “panallets”. With a straight trunk and globular and compact top, they also offer good shadow. From here you can also see the urbanization of the Mas Nou related to the Golf Club that shares the same name, and built around the farmhouse of Vall-vanera.
