Introduction
The fountain is located next to the entrance of the old mine, and if you look closely, you can still see remnants of the old pipe that carried water to the town but located about 300 meters away.
We are in one of the many streams that flow into Clarà stream facing the old farmhouse “Can Cabot” and the fact of it being ‘boxed’ in a stream flanked by towering banana trees, makes this corner a special place.
The banana trees are appreciated for their shade and like to live near rivers and deep and fresh soils. It is a fast-growing tree and its wood is similar to the one of the beech tree, but lighter. It is a very appreciated tree by the ancient, and as an anecdote it is worth saying, under a banana tree in Athens, Socrates had his talks about immortality with his disciples.
