Introduction

Trees are zoned: pine in the pineda, elms and plane trees in the fair area, ash and poplars near the amphitheater, and ornamental species (Gleditsia and tipuanas) in the children’s zone.

The riera is lined with plums and cherry trees. Margins host Mediterranean shrubs like aloc and coastal species like tamarius, also lining elevated walkways.

The oloretum contains aromatic terraces of rosemary, lavender, sage, santolina, and thyme, providing color, scent, and biodiversity.

Shrubs form boundaries, labyrinths, and slopes. Dense zones of brambles, myrtle, and aloc mix with grass cover (stipa, peniset) for soil stabilization and texture.

The vegetation creates microclimates, introduces biodiversity, and enhances the park’s sensory richness throughout the year. In the meadows descending to the amphitheater, gray parrots graze alongside forest pigeons, and even a pair of hoopoes can be seen searching for worms.
