Introduction
Here is a long circular walk, suitable for walking or cycling, that crosses the urban center in an easy and low-gradient way. Urban greenery, in its various forms, serves as a biodiversity reservoir and simultaneously as a bioclimatic refuge for the inhabitants.
From the fields below La Verdera to the first Marinas toward the sea, you will pass through parks, gardens, rambles, squares, and tree-lined streets, where greenery forms a living network connecting nature and the city.
Take advantage of the connecting sections to enjoy urban life along commercial streets and in the old town, where a variety of gastronomic services can enhance the experience.
We recommend the Local Natura App to do this route. Download it for free here:

Description
Start the route at Avinguda de la Fraternitat, at the top of Parc de la Riera de Sant Climent. Either through the park or next to the riera, descend accompanied by the original elm forest and other ornamental trees. Cross several streets until reaching Parc de la Sínia, where the riera goes underground until Parc de la Marina.
Continue toward Viladecans’ oldest rambla, the beautiful Rambla Modolell, with its large tipuanas and shaded flowerbeds. Follow it to the end, where an interesting group of oaks surrounds a playground, also the town’s first, formerly the site of Era de Can Sala.
Walk through the streets of the old town to the Magdalena Modolell Gardens, behind the current Casa de la Vila. You will also be close to Torre del Baró.
Stroll through the gardens, and passing Plaça de la Vila, cross the road toward the Municipal Market, integrated into Plaça d’Europa. Pergolas, mounds with grass, groups of trees, and the wall-sculpture advocating a Viladecans free of gender violence make it an intimate and charming space.
Descend along Avinguda dels Germans Gabrielistes, under a long and regular archway of linden trees, passing Parc de la Pau until reaching Parc de la Marina.
It is a large park with different paths and plant environments. We suggest taking the wooden walkway and exploring the park from above to get a better perspective of the park and its relationship with the city and surrounding landscape. You will encounter Riera de Sant Climent again and walk around one of its auditoriums with a lake, then continue along Passeig de la Marina. This promenade follows the route of the underground riera until reaching Parc de la Sínia again, where we will turn right into Parc de la Torre-roja.
Walk uphill through the park until reaching CAP, then turn right toward the open area of Can Picó, a gardened area in Barri Llevant with views of Montbaig and Sant Ramon.
Next to the baseball field, reach Avinguda de la Fraternitat and follow the border between fields and city; in a few meters, you will return to the starting point.
