Introduction

The enclosures are hydraulic engineering works designed to raise the level of water and divert one part to other uses.

This was possibly built to supply the agricultural fields of the area especially during the 19th Century, when it became one of the most important markets in the area. But Amer also has an industrial past, in which the textile and pharmaceutical industry stood out.

On the other side of the bank there is the Solivent urbanization, built in 1979.

Then turn to the right and return to take the path that follows the riverbank, not the wide road that goes to the right.
