Introduction
Shady area, very grateful to do in summer. It is a valley full of very photogenic waterfalls. The route is marked with orange marks. |
The name of the stream, and of the valley, comes from the use that was made historically. It was an important area of wood extraction and coal production that was obtained from controlled combustion in so-called coal piles. |
Continuing the stream we will find lots of hazelnuts, ash trees and birches. Further up, the black pine that reaches the pass of La Balmeta |
Just a short time after we start off with a turnoff to the right that leads to the Bauma de las Donzelles. The legend says that in this hole in the rock there lived fairies of exceptional beauty. |
