Description
Nature and legends among black pine forests |
We start from the town of Setcases, through the valley of El Ter and between valley pastures, we will go up the road in the direction of Vallter until we find the entrance to the Carboners Valley. Along this track, constantly rising, that later happens to be a smaller path, we will discover a valley where the stream of Carboners gives us beautiful waterfalls; a very shady and fresh valley with consolidated black pine forests. The ascent between large trees and the songs of the birds in the midst of a magical silence will lead us to the forest track that goes from Setcases to Espinavell. |
Continuing along the track, we recommend that you take a look from the Badaina viewpoint to enjoy the entire valley and the panoramic view of Setcases. Further on, just below the mountain of Sant Miquel we will change direction to start descending. Here, again, the views are open to Camprodon's Valley. We will cross a meadow to start descending through a hilly path to the limit of another black pine forest, full of lichens and anthills. The descent will lead us to a zone of beams and pastures within the mountain until Xecó's cottage. Now, a path brings us closer to the Creueta de Setcases' viewpoint and, from here, to the village. |
